In pre ABA era he was referred to as 'Mr Consistent who guarantees at least a couple of hummable tunes in every album'. He made it to the big league with Tere Naam. He took things to the next level by a serious shift in sound domain in post ABA era with Aashiq Banaya Aapne. His main forte since then has been Sufi Rwak genre, clocking 36 back to back hits along the way in that golden period.
