In pre-ABA era, Himesh - the composer mainly did Love Duets (which was his forte) with some peppy 'club/stage/in-da-house' dance tracks, along with incorporating few 'uljhi wi' complex raags in a simplified manner (a notable exception which was Kuch Meetha Ho Jaaye (2005) soundtrax in semi-classical genre).
But upon arrival of Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005) soundtrax which is da separator between pre-ABA and post-ABA era, a new avatar of Himesh - the composer was born with a serious change of sound domain.
So many people would have wondered in astonishment that how could our 'simple dhokla boy' suddenly spring up such a least expected pleasant surprise and pump up things to such a level.
But the point is that, Himesh - the composer always had the compositional 'germs' of Sufi Rwak music.
A trailer of these capabilities (whereby Himesh thought in his mind...picture abhi baaki hai mere dost) were shown in his only Sufi Rwak composed song in pre-ABA era i.e. Uud Uud Jaaye from Vaada (2005) which is da best song of the album.
In terms of musical arrangement, da best parts in above video are:
> Underlying free flowing rhythmic beats that are very true / authentic to da Sufi Rwak genre.
> The lighter set of quick drum hits (build up) from 0.29 to 0.30 followed by heavier set of quick drum hits (kill effect) from 0.30 to 0.31 that give tremendous kick.
> The catchy Sufi tune piece in between 1st stanza gap from 0.47 to 0.51
> The catchy quick synthetic tune from 0.59 to 1.01 whereby Arjun Rampal sits upright from a relaxing position on the sofa along with quick flash lights [depicting lightening] which makes impact and strikes a chord.
> Kailesh Kher's line, HOON (subtle feel, terrific sufi rwak singing) from 1.00 to 1.01
Now in da post-ABA though, those capabilities have now fully blown into their full potential.
Speaking of Kailash Kher, he is a natural Sufi Rwak singer.
Good to see him sing for Himesh in this song where they rocked together (and also in portions of following songs):
> DAMADJI from RADIO.
> MERI CHANDI TU (LETS SPEND THE NIGHT TOGETHER) from SILSILAY.
> MEETHI MEETHI BAATAN KARKE from AAP KI KHATIR.
Hope that they work together in da future too.
