Music review analysis of Himesh Reshammiya's album Shukriya (2004).

Tumhara Sanam

Udit opens the song with subtle vocals in unplugged mode.

The lines DILO JAAN SE MAIN are old styled HR music.

The lines TUM HARA SANAM are core mukhda lines, the tune sur behind these lines is great.

The harmonica tune from 0.37 onwards is mesmerizing

The 2 hit tabla pattern from 0.46 to 0.47 is quite similar to SILSILAY MULAKATON KE from BARDAASHT from 0.34 to 0.35, 1.34 to 1.35.

Actually the underlying beat pattern (and tabla) also resembles the beat structure of SILSILAY MULATKATON KE.

The string tune (with underlying twist) from 0.58 is great

The 3 lazy tabla hits from 1.18 to 1.19, 1.37 to 1.38 was also used in KABHI NA SUKUN AAYA (KOI AAP SA) from 1.21 to 1.22 and AAP KI KHATA (BARDAASHT) from 1.16 to 1.17

The continuous keyboard tune sur from 1.31 onwards and also behind lines TUMHARA SANAM is great.
Alka's lines SAPNA, DILO JAAN SE is striking melody.

Between mukhda and 1st stanza, a mouth organ is followed by great tune sur especially from 2.37 to 2.39

1st stanza

It is very laidback and feel good.

The 8 quick tabla hits from 2.54 to 2.55 give sahi desired effect.

The emphasis in Alka's lines tum MERAAAA (up down twist) at 3.12 is great.

Between 1st and 2nd stanza, the piano piece (including quick upwards twist) is likeable and emphasis on the keyboard tune sur on 4.20.

The twist in the beat from 4.11 to 4.13 is off-da-hook.

2nd stanza

The tabla beat pattern from 4.22 to 4.33 was used in KYUN KI ITNA PYAR (KYUN KI) at 3.11, 4.32 to 4.33

The 8 quick tabla hits at 4.36 give sahi desired effect (and strictly only the quick 8 beat hit pattern is vaguely similar to UUD UUD JAAYE(VAADA) from 2.42 to 2.43

The rising keyboard tune sur from 5.23 to 5.27 is nice.

From 5.30 onwards, the soothing female chorus join in and the classical twist of the instrument at 5.45 is off-da-hook.
