Chinni Prakash on choreographing Big B after 21 yrs
When Chinni Prakash started shooting the title track of Bol Bachchan with Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan at Mumbai's Film City Studios last week, he was pleasantly surprised to see Bachchan's passion for his work. "The last time I had choreographed dance moves for him, it was for 'Jumma Chumma De De' for Hum. At that time he would rehearse ten times and watch me twenty times before he faced the camera and I was surprised to see that he still follows the same rule. Watching him do so many rehearsals, Ajay and Abhishek had no choice but to follow suit!" laughed Prakash, adding that the star would be on the sets by eleven in the morning and had to be told to go to his van for lunch, and when the shoot was over had to be gently reminded that it was time to go home.
The fact that Big B rehearsed so many times despite re-creating his iconic steps and moves from his old famous hits like 'My Name is Anthony Gonsalves', and songs from Namak Halal, Namak Haram, Coolie etc! shows the perfectionist that he is. "I put in whatever I could from his old films into this single song. The moves will be mostly desi combined with rap and hip hop and there are 150 female dancers in the backdrop," says the choreographer of the five minute song, which will roll in the beginning of the film.
Amitabh Bachchan has also lent his voice for the track and the song which will also feature some of his dialogues from his films. It's also the first time that Big B will be seen in a song with Ajay Devgn and the song also marks the return of the father son duo after the hit 'Kajra Re' back in 2005. Abhishek Bachchan will sing a few lines in the track as well.
Himesh Reshammiya has composed the music for the track which was shot on a lavish set. A Fox Star Studios presentation, Bol Bachchan is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak LFS Infra Ltd and Ajay Devgn Ffilms and directed by Rohit Shetty. The comic caper also has Asin and Prachi Desai and releases on July 6 worldwide.

Big B to keep Ajay, Abhishek on their toes
Imagine this. It's a sweltering hot summer afternoon in Mumbai, the maximum temperature has hit 38 degrees celsius. Dressed almost identically in shimmering black shervanis, Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan look terribly inappropriate. Gathered together at a far-flung Mumbai studio, the father-son duo along with Ajay ready themselves to shake a leg to a zany video for a song, that will accompany the beginning titles of filmmaker Rohit Shetty's "Bol Bachchan".
The lyrics go, "Bol, Bol, Bol Bachchan" to a track composed by music director Himesh Reshammiya. Sung by Amitabh, with some bantering by Abhishek and wisecracks by Ajay, the song lends itself to many light moments and movements. But the moment to capture is the one where the three men break into Bhagwan Dada-like dance steps, immortalised by the Big B in his halcyon days. From then on the glossys sets and the svelte dancing girls exposing taut bodies pale in comparison. Everyone on the set only has eyes for the three men in black.
Loads of fun also happens in between shots. Amitabh and Ajay compare notes on their health, since both have health issues. When Ajay tells the senior actor, "Sir, I would have gone home, had it not been for you," Big B, with childlike innocence, quips, "Go home. I will also get a day off!" Of course, both continue to shoot, long after that conversation is over. Meanwhile, Abhishek horses around with the youngsters on set and even tries to pull a few stunts with veteran dance director Chinni Prakash.
"I have fond memories of him," says Junior B, "I played with Chinni Sir in 1988 when I was just 12, and he was directing Pa in the evergreen "Jhumma Chumma De De" track from the movie "Hum". I am working with him for the first time, and it feels good," says Abhishek.
During a break, AB Junior makes plans for a sushi lunch because a neighbouring five-star hotel has a scrumptious sushi spread, but an indisposed Ajay plays spoilsport and talks of having home-made khichdi with dahi. The Big B takes his daily afternoon power nap and Rohit takes to a quiet corner in his vanity for some 'me' time.
Ajay is suddenly deluged with producers and media-sorts. And a slew of security men guard the Bachchans' privacy. While someone in Junior's staff polishes his fancy white wheels, we beat a hasty retreat.
"Bol Bachchan", that releases worldwide on July 6, is presented by Fox Star Studios and produced by Shree Ashtavinayak LFS Infra Ltd and Ajay Devgn Films.

Bachchans and Ajay Devgn to sing together
May 9, 2012. For others this may have been just another sweltering Mumbai summer day. But for the crew of Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan, this was surely a day to remember. For the first time, Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan and superstar Amitabh Bachchan were coming together for a shot. And we got a dekho of the memorable song being picturised at Film City.
A set was created on the 16th floor of the studio. The unit was abuzz with activity. After all they had three stars in their midst. The choreographer Chinni Prakash was busy directing Amitabh Bachchan's entry sequence in the song.
Reminding us of the famous track in Big B's 1977 blockbuster Amar Akbar Anthony, there was a big egg on the sets. Dressed in black, the superstar was asked to take his seat in the egg. And just like the My Name Is Anthony Gonsalves number, the egg turned and the Big B came out of it.
By then, Ajay Devgn, who was feeling a bit unwell, had already left the sets. Abhishek too had shot for his portions and called it a day. But director Rohit Shetty and choreographer Chinni Prakash were busy doing their bit with Amitabh Bachchan.
And that's not all. It will be the first time Ajay Devgn would lend his voice to a song in his career spanning 20 years. The track composed by Himesh Reshammiya will also have the Bachchans singing. Interestingly, the Big B will be singing some of his evergreen dialogues from films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Hum and Jhoom Barabar Jhoom for it. To be shot over four days, the song will however, not feature the leading ladies Asin and Prachi Desai.

Big B recreates 'My name is Anthony Gonsalves'
Amitabh Bachchan is set to recreate the magic of Amar Akbar Anthony in a special track for Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan. In the song, he will be seen with his son Abhishek, and actor Ajay Devgn.
The 69-year-old will recreate the iconic entry scene from the famous 'My name is Anthony Gonsalves' song. The song shot in 1977, showed Amitabh popping out of a life-sized egg and a similar stunt has been replicated for the Bol Bachchan title track video.
Amitabh has already finished shooting for the cameo appearance in Bol Bachchan, which features Abhishek and Ajay in key roles.
"I spent the day recording for the song to be picturised on Abhishek, Ajay and myself for Bol Bachchan, the film being made by Rohit Shetty. It seemed a fun song, with lyrics and words dominating the space from some of my old ones," Amitabh wrote on his blog.
The actor has also lent his voice for the track, featuring some of his iconic dialogues from Amar Akbar Anthony and other films, that resonate well with today's generation.
Amitabh, who recently underwent two abdominal surgeries, says recreating the era gone by has become a norm nowadays, which makes him ponder if it is time for him to call it quits.
"Everyone that comes with a project starts off by telling me sequences that have involved me in some earlier film of mine. A dialogue, a song an action or just plain simple comedy. The song in Bol Bachchan is no different," he said.
"Striking nostalgia and days gone by by recreating them again, seems to be the norm these days. It brings questions to me. When they start recreating your 'stuff', is it an indication that the days are over. That nothing fresh and new can be expected."
"I do not point fingers to the films, its makers or even the actors. I point a rather shaky finger to myself. Is it an indication to me that I should stop expecting, stop operating … just stop," he added.
Bol Bachchan, a Fox Star Studios presentation, is a comic caper, which also features Asin and Prachi Desai. It is slated for release July 6, 2012.

Amitabh returns with son Abhishek for `Bol Bachchan' video
Mumbai: Amitabh Bachchan is all set to recreate his iconic entry scene in the song `My Name is Anthony Gonsalves` for Abhishek Bachchan-Ajay Devgn starrer `Bol Bachchan`.
The song from `Amar Akbar Anthony` showed Amitabh popping out of a life sized egg. The makers are now planning to recreate this same scene for `Bol Bachchan` title track video.
Amitabh has lent his famous baritone for the track and the song will also feature some of his evergreen iconic dialogues from the film. Big B will be seen dancing with Devgn for the first time and this will also be the return of the father son combination in a movie after their hit `Kajra re` in 2005.
With music by Himesh Reshammiya and choreography by Chinni Prakash, the special title track video will be shot on a lavish set packed with only female dancers and will be a contemporary number with a classic Bollywood touch to it.
A Fox Star Studios presentation, ‘Bol Bachchan’ is produced by Shree Ashtavinayak LFS Infra Ltd and Ajay Devgn Ffilms and directed by Rohit Shetty. The comic caper stars Ajay Devgn, Abhishek Bachchan, Asin and Prachi Desai and is set to release on July 6 this year.

Big B, Son to Dance to Himesh's Song
Amitabh Bachchan will enact a special dance number with son Abhishek Bachchan (their first after “Kajraa re” in “Bunty Aur Babli”) in “Bol Bachchan” directed by Rohit Shetty.
“Bol Bachchan” is a comedy inspired by the 1979 film “Gol Maal” (which in spirit inspired Shetty's “Golmaal” franchise of three increasingly successful films in 2006, 2008 and 2010). Shetty's pet hero Ajay Devgn (who co-starred with Bachchan Jr. in Shetty's maiden film “Zameen” in 2003 and in all of Shetty's films subsequently including the “Golmaal” series), Asin and Prachi Desai co-star in this film co-produced by Devgn in association with Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd.
Devgn last produced Shetty's “All The Best” in 2009. The worldwide distribution rights have been taken by Fox Star Studios for Rs 94 crore.
But the most interesting part of the song is that it is composed by Himesh Reshammiya, who in his long career of 15 years has never been associated with the Big B, as he is known. Reshammiya had composed Shetty's maiden film “Zameen.”
With unconfirmed reports that he will also be doing the Deols' home production “Yamla Pagla Deewana 2,” the songs of Vikram Bhatt's “Dangerous Ishhq” (releasing May 11) scaling up the charts and assignments like Akshay Kumar's co-production “Khiladi 786” (in which HR is co-actor and co-producer too) and another Ajay Devgn co-production “Son Of Sardar,” besides Neil Nitin Mukesh's “Shortcut Romeo,” HR is sure going places.

Big B to feature in Bol Bachchan title song
Rohit Shetty is all set to shoot the title song of the film Bol Bachchan. What's unique about this is that the track will feature none other than Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen shaking a leg with film's lead actors Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn.
If that wasn't enough, Big B has also sung the track with music interludes that features the veteran actor mouthing iconic dialogues from his hit movies. Besides, Abhishek has also sung a few lines in the track making it the first after 'Kajra Re' (Bunty Aur Babli).
The song which will be shot in Mumbai in the second week of May has music by Himesh Reshammiya while the dance sequence will be choreographed by veteran choreographer Chinni Prakash.

My Opinion
When Himesh won da award for best male playback, he became senti on stage towards da end and said 'har koi apne field mein Amitabh Bachchan hi banna chahta hai...isme kisiko bhi koi bhi shaq nahi hai' n said that he was his idol along with dedicating a song to him. While HR has been associated with Abhishek as a composer in films like Run and Zameen, he never ever got an opportunity to work with Big B. Da closest he came to do so was in RGV's Aag which was reported to be a retro number but then things could not materialize as Himesh had to go for world tours. Now its a double whammy, coz he is composing a tune in which both senior n junior bachchans are going to sing and also shake a leg in da promotional music video. Now, this in itself is a big event which is bound to stir of buzz n create a lot of hype. It should be a full on dhamaal n masala outing. Since Abhishek Bachan has a liking for RnB as he lent his vocals for Right Here Right Now in Bluffmaster, there is a good chance that this track could go da RnB Hip Hop way. What will be da icing on da cake to top it up is if Himesh also features in that promotional or remix music video along with his idol. One thing is sure, that this combo will be a massy affair and also something new never before heard experimental stuff by Himesh.
Bol Bachchan is Himesh's 2nd film for Rohit Shetty as a composer, the 1st one being Zameen (2003) which was Rohit's debut flick as a director and which co-incidentally also starred Ajay Devgn n Abhishek Bachchan. Now it will be interesting to know if Himesh has also sung some portions of da promotional title trax...and how many songs has Himesh scored for da film i.e. just da promotional trax or more.
Going as per their past track record, one does not associate Himesh with Ajay Devgn n Big B coz they have hardly worked with each other. Having said this, the coming together of these 3 veterans is a 'unique' event n outing in itself. Da iron is 'red hot' n Himesh will not leave any 'stone unturned' to strike n hit hard with da promotional title trax which is either going to be Hip Hop RnB or full on masala desi (like Kajra Re n Juma Chuma Dede). Critics don't know who da unstoppable phenomenon called Himesh Reshammiya is, unhe yeh nahi maalum ke unke peeche unka BAAP baitha hai. With this song, he is going to deliver yet another knock out punch to his detractors.
